About Me

With a degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies from the University of Guelph and a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto, I’ve dedicated my career to the field of mental health since 2017.

One of my core areas of expertise is navigating the intersection of autism and mental health. I understand how challenging it can be for families to manage the unique struggles that come with autism, especially when combined with mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, attention-deficits, aggression, suicidality/self-harm, and trauma. Although this is my particular area of expertise, I also work with those facing mental health challenges regardless of diagnosis. My training in various therapeutic approaches—including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (including DBT for Children, and DBT for the Cognitively Impaired), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (including the Unified Protocol), and trauma-informed therapies (TF-CBT, DBT-PE) —allows me to create compassionate, tailored strategies that address mental health concerns in a holistic and integrated way. I am dedicated to validating your experiences and providing support that truly match your goals.

I’m committed to offering flexible and creative solutions that resonate with each individual’s needs. My goal is to work collaboratively with my clients to ensure that our approach is practical, manageable, and seamlessly fit into everyday life. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child or looking for guidance as a family, I’m here to provide a compassionate and expert touch.

Outside of my professional life, I’m a wife and a mom to two young children and an English Springer Spaniel named Barb (who makes the occasional appearance in the background during sessions). Having lived my entire life in Southern Ontario, I’m deeply connected to this community and committed to making a positive impact. I also have significant training and experience working with families from the 2SLGBTQ+ and Indigenous communities, and I strive to ensure that every child and family feels seen, heard, and supported.

I’m looking forward to walking this path alongside you.
